Sustainable Farming

Hilliard Bruce Vineyards LLC was been chosen by the Central Coast Vineyard Team to be one of 13 vineyards participating in a pilot sustainable vineyard certification program.  External peer reviewers of this program include the American Farmland Trust, Cal Poly, Cal/EPA, California Audubon Society, Environmental Defense, Latino Issues Forum, Natural Resources Defense Council, UC Coop Extension, UC Davis, US EPA, US SAREP, and the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service.

We are farming to meet specific sustainable viticulture standards as developed by this Certified Sustainable Pilot Program of the Central Coast Vineyard Team.  Information is available concerning "Sustainability in Practice" at the following address:
